L.I.O.N.S. Pride is a new program presented by The Size Of a Man.  L.I.O.N.S. Pride stands for Leaders In Our Neighborhood Schools. 

As you know, we are dedicated to breaking the cycle of fatherlessness through mentorship.

We are equally dedicated to the success of our young people both personally and academically. 

L.I.O.N.S. Pride is a platform that gives each qualified adult male an opportunity to get involved in a deliberate, methodical and effective way.  Whether it is for one day during the school year or every day of the school year, there is an opportunity for an adult male to JOIN THE PRIDE and volunteer as a L.I.O.N.S. Dad.

This program affords the Dads, Granddads, Uncles, Big Brothers of the students an opportunity to be present on their child's school campus.  Even if they do not have a child that attends that school, as long as they are a qualified adult male, they are encouraged to volunteer. 

***The IMPORTANCE of having men present in our schools (even as a volunteer) is invaluable and beneficial to our future (the students).*** 

This is why we are excited about bringing this program to Alta Vista Elementary!
